Amanda Shires touring around Newport Folk Fest
Amanda Shires is one of the many great artists playing Newport Folk Festival 2018 (along with her husband/collaborator Jason Isbell, plus Bermuda Triangle, Bedouine, Colter Wall, Courtney Barnett, Moses Sumney, Phoebe Bridgers, Sturgill Simpson, The Weather Station, Tyler Childers, and more), and she has a handful of newly-added tour dates happening around that time.
Amanda’s tour includes two NYC shows: July 29 at Rough Trade and July 31 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for Rough Trade and Bowery go on sale Friday (4/14) at 11 AM and noon, respectively, with a Citi presale for Bowery starting Tuesday (4/17) at 10 AM.
Amanda also has two Texas gigs with the legendary John Prine, and a Red Rocks show with Jason Isbell and Aimee Mann. All dates are listed below.
In other recent news, Amanda Shires contributed to a new live session by Blackberry Smoke for their new song “Let Me Down Easy,” which also features Amanda on the album version.
