Melodic hardcore greats American Nightmare finally released their first album in 15 years last year, and it wasn't just a good comeback but one of the best punk albums of 2018. Now they're keeping the momentum going with a new two-song EP out today featuring the new song "Life Support" and a cover of The Lemonheads' "Left For Dead." "Life Support" sees American Nightmare tapping more directly into their classic punk influences than usual, while still sounding unmistakably like American Nightmare, and the Lemonheads cover sees Wes favoring shoegazy singing vocals rather than the bark he usually brings to AM. If you're unfamiliar, "Left For Dead" is from The Lemonheads' 1990 album Lovey, which was before It's a Shame About Ray made them alt-rock stars and back when they still pretty much sounded like a punk band, so it's a great fit for AM to cover alongside this new song. Listen to both tracks below. The vinyl version comes out February 14 via Deathwish (pre-order).

American Nightmare are also reissuing Year One (which compiled their first two EPs) on February 7 via Bridge Nine/Heartworm and going on a 20th anniversary tour in 2020. Since we last spoke, shapeshifting punks Ceremony (who released the very fun In the Spirit World Now this year) were added as openers.

As mentioned, that tour includes a NYC show on Valentine's Day (2/14) at Brooklyn Steel (tickets). All dates are listed below.
