Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, At the Gates & Grand Magus touring (presale for NYC)
Swedish death metal vets Amon Amarth have announced a headlining North American tour in support of their upcoming album Berserker (due May 3 via Metal Blade), and the tour has stacked support from fellow long-running Swedish bands Arch Enemy, At The Gates, and Grand Magus. Amon Amarth say:
Berserkers! We will lead a Swedish metal invasion of North America this September and October along with our friends Arch Enemy, At The Gates and Grand Magus. Come fight and feast with us and earn your seat in the great golden hall. This raid is pure heavy fucking metal and not to be missed!
The tour includes a NYC show on October 12 at The Hammerstein at Manhattan Center. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (4/19) at 10 AM with a BrooklynVegan presale starting Wednesday (4/17) at 10 AM. Check back here Wednesday morning for the password. All dates are listed below.
Amon Amarth are also opening the upcoming Slayer tour, alongside Lamb of God and Cannibal Corpse. That includes the NJ show on May 24 at BB&T Pavilion (tickets). All dates for that run are listed below too.
At the Gates' most recent album, To Drink from the Night Itself, was one of the best of 2018, and was their second great reunion album in a row. Their first reunion album was 2014's At War with Reality, which was their first since 1995's classic Slaughter of the Soul and followed an almost 20 year break.
