Anderson .Paak has been busy. In addition to releasing his second album in five months with this year’s Ventura, he appeared on two of last week’s best albums (YBN Cordae and BJ the Chicago Kid) and he also appeared on this year’s Freddie Gibbs & Madlib and Flying Lotus albums. Just two days after joining YBN Cordae to perform their collaborative “RNP” on Fallon (backed by The Roots), Paak played the free House of Vans Chicago series. Paak was backed by his band The Free Nationals, who also played their own set, and psychedelic soul singer/multi-instrumentalist Kadhja Bonet (who has a prominent role on Paak’s 2018 album Oxnard) opened too. Pictures are in the gallery above.

Next up for Anderson .Paak: San Francisco’s Outside Lands, Philly’s Made In America, and Florida’s Suwanee Hulaween.

Next up for House of Vans Chicago: a special guest headliner on 8/17 and Converge on 8/24.
