Andrew Bird filmed a living room set with Fiona Apple, touring with The Lumineers
Earlier this year, Andrew Bird and Fiona Apple collaborated for the duet “Left Hand Kisses” off Bird’s new LP, Are You Serious. More recently, the two artists teamed up again in Bird’s actual living room as part of his “Facebook Live” web series. The set included a new song, “Railroad Sam and Slingshot Sue,” which Fiona Apple co-wrote with a five-year-old boy named Sam, a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Oh, Sister,” and more. Watch the whole thing:
As you may know, Andrew Bird will be conversing and performing at the New Yorker Festival on October 7 (sold out) and playing NYC again at his Carnegie Hall show on December 12 (tickets). He will also open a handful of The Lumineers‘ just-announced 2017 dates, including Madison Square Garden on February 2. Seeing Andrew Bird at a huge venue with The Lumineers may not be the most ideal way to see him, but if you’d like to go, you can get tickets here.
