Andy Warhol not so nice... in clip from rock doc 'Danny Says' (which is out today)

New documentary Danny Says, about legendary music biz dude Danny Fields –who helped the careers of The Ramones, Iggy Pop, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, MC5 and more — is out today (9/30) in theatres, on-demand and through digital download.

Director Brendan Toller had 250 hours worth of interviews with Fields (as well as Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Judy Collins, Tommy Ramone, Jonathan Richman, Justin Vivian Bond, Lenny Kaye, Wayne Kramer, and John Cameron Mitchell, among many others) to work with, and mixes them with archival footage and photographs. There are also animated recreations of many of Fields’ anecdotes, including a wild party with Andy Warhol. We’ve got an exclusive clip of that scene and you can watch it, and a few other clips from the film, below.

If you’re in NYC, Danny Says is playing at the IFC Center (tickets) and Lincoln Plaza Cinemas 6 (tickets). Tonight’s 7:15 PM screening at IFC Center will feature a post-screening Q&A with director Brendan Toller and Michael Musto (tickets).
