Animal Collective playing Prospect Park (again) before the Pitchfork Festival (updated 3-day lineup)

They might not make the most sense playing right before a headlining set by Arcade Fire, and after Mumford & Sons, on the main stage of Coachella (like they did on Saturday), but a headlining show at Prospect Park’s Banshell is perfect for Animal Collective who will return to the large outdoor Brooklyn venue on July 12th. Tickets for the Celebrate Brooklyn benefit go on AmEx presale Wednesdy at noon, and then on general sale Friday.

The band played two sold out nights at the same venue in 2009. The new Brooklyn show is three days before Animal Collective play the Pitchfork Festival which recently updated its lineup. Check that out below…
