In December, Animal Collective performed 2004's Sung Tongs in full for the first time ever at Pitchfork's 21st birthday show at the Knockdown Center in Queens, and now they're taking that album on tour. Like at the Queens show, it will be duo sets by Avey Tare and Panda Bear, the only two members of Animal Collective who recorded the album. A fan presale for all dates begins Tuesday (3/20) at noon local time (password = sungtongs18), and the general on-sale begins Friday (3/23) at 10 AM local time.

The tour includes a larger NYC show than Knockdown Center on July 20 at Town Hall. That's one of two dates that will be opened by storied new age composer Laraaji. Tickets for the NYC show will be available at this link and there are also AmEx and Spotify presales starting this week.

Before the Sung Tongs tour, Animal Collective play David Lynch's Festival of Disruption at NYC's Brooklyn Steel on May 19 (tickets).

All dates are listed, with a full-set video of the first Sung Tongs show, below.
