Anna von Hausswolff @ Glasslands – 7/10/2013
When the most prominent instrument on your album is the pipe organ, it’s hard not to conjure up old-school gothic images. Swedish singer Anna von Hausswolff didn’t lug an actual pipe organ into Glasslands last night (7/10) for her show celebrating the U.S. release of her album, Ceremony. But with her own seriously spine-tingling pipes and medieval organ jams, things did feel cathedral-esque. Lightening the mood, somewhat incongruously, was the twee ukelele pop of opener Kay Kasparhauser. Pictures from the show are in this post.
