Arcade Fire replacing Foo Fighters at Osheaga

Foo Fighters cancelled all their upcoming tour dates in the wake of drummer Taylor Hawkins’ death, and the festivals they were scheduled to headline have been announcing replacements, with Nine Inch Nails added to Boston Calling and Welcome to Rockville, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to New Orleans Jazz Fest. Now Montreal’s Osheaga have announced that Arcade Fire will join A$AP Rocky and Dua Lipa to headline the fest.

Arcade Fire will close out Friday, July 29, which also includes sets from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Charli XCX, Big Sean, Lil Tjay, Dominick Fike, Turnstile, PinkPantheress, Local Natives, King Hannah, and more. The fest also features Burna Boy, Khruangbin, Mitski, Bleachers, Caribou, 100 gecs, Tove Lo, Men I Trust, beabadoobee, Freddie Gibbs, slowthai, Sampa the Great, Pierre Kwenders and more on Saturday, and Machine Gun Kelly, IDLES, girl in red, Lucy Dacus, Tinashe, Wet Leg, Genesis Owusu, and more on Sunday. See the updated lineup below.

Arcade Fire’s anticipated new album WE is due out May 6 via Columbia; pre-order it on white vinyl.
