While we wait for concrete news of Arcade Fire's new album, drummer Jeremy Gara and multi-instrumentalist Will Butler have announced solo albums.

Jeremy Gara's new album is called Passerine Finale -- the follow-up to his solo debut, Limn— and set to be released on September 11 via Invada Records (the label run by Portishead's Geoff Barrow). You may have already heard the title track, and today, he released the album's ethereal closing track, "wraith," which you can listen to below.

Meanwhile, Will Butler will release new solo album, Generations, the follow-up to 2015's Policy in September via Merge, details TBA. Look out for first single, "Surrender," on July 14 but you can here just a smidge of track "I Don't Know What I Don't Know" via the album's teaser trailer below.

In the meantime, Butler is performing as part of a virtual benefit show, "Change Starts in the States: An Auction For Future Fund Now," tonight (7/9) which starts at 8 PM EST and is raising money to support candidates for the state legislature in Arizona. For the fund, Butler donated a "custom recording of 1 minute of original music," as he noted in a post on Twitter. You can register to watch and find out more information about the stream here.
