David Byrne & The Arcade Fire @ The Hollywood Bowl

David Byrne played the Hollywood Bowl last night with the Arcade Fire.

“David Byrne sang Psycho Killer last night. He sang a bunch of Talking Heads songs, which thrilled me to no end. Burning Down the House was accompanied by a marching band. And The Arcade Fire (one of the opening acts, along with the fabulous Si Se), joined him on stage for my favorite song in the world, This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody).” [Gayle Brandeis]

“Backed by the Texas-based Tosca Strings. Impassioned, funky, magnificent. Arcade Fire opened, and Byrne teamed up with them during his set — then unleashed San Francisco’s Extra Action Marching Band on the crowd and jammed with them for a few numbers towards the end. Closed with a samba-tinged cover of Beyonce’s “Crazy” that climaxed in a squirming heap of dry-humping, baton-twirling, bethonged marching band members, center stage.” [Boing Boing]

That would be the second time David joined the Arcade Fire on stage.

No Arcade Fire Wednesday in NYC, but you can still see David Byrne.
