Bonnie Prince Billy & Bjork | Drawing Restraint 9 | Listen
As previously reported, Bjork did the soundtrack for a new movie called “Drawing Restraint 9.”
“Björk’s music for the movie centers around the sho, an ancient Japanese instrument with 17 different reeds. She also, carrying on in the a cappella vein of her previous album Medulla, has turned to Noh theater scholars for help with a Noh voice technique that her webpage describes as “growling.” Production help will come from several electronic musicians, including Mark Bell of LFO.” [Pitchfork]
As if that’s not good enough, Bonnie Prince Billy sings on the first track, and Bjork set up this special page where you can listen to a few seconds of every song.
