Cablevision bought the Beacon Theater which will close for renovations in 2008

“Come January, the famed Beacon Theater will join the Cablevision family of music venues, adding a relatively intimate 2,800 seat house to a performance space selection that includes the vastly larger Radio City Music Hall and Madison Square Garden. ‘The Beacon completes our product line,’ said Cablevision Systems Corp.
