Faithless
Lots of live dancey throw-downs in the next few weeks. I’m really looking forward to catching Soulwax (tix), Hot Chip (tix), Ghostland Observatory (tix), and Faithless (tix). I’m upset to be missing Joakim perform with his band on April 28th, but I’ll be representing the dance crew out at Coachella.
We’re giving away 2 pairs of tickets to Friday night’s People Don’t Dance No More at Element (April 13). We’ve got a superb lineup helmed by DJ Kaos (who has released music on Kitsune & NYC’s Rong) coming in from Berlin and the disco-auteurs from Escort for BERLIN VS. NYC. Email [email protected] (subject: Dance) if you want to win a pair. Two people will be randomly selected on Friday afternoon for +1’s on the list. Everyone else will be placed on the $5.00 reduced list (so include your first and last name in the email).
Apache Beat
Muscles is coming in from Australia to join the Radio Soulwax tour! Muscles makes crazy trance rock. Get to the show early. (jinx)
Modular launched a magazine and it features, in their words: “bits on Softlightes, New Young Pony Club, Ed Banger, DFA, Undercover, Klaxons, masturbation, stunning art direction by Jonathan Zawada”. Pick up a copy at the Modular Monthly at Tribeca Grand on 4/20 RSVP HERE. Tim from Cut Copy DJs, Apache Beat plays live, Kasper Bjorke DJs, shit goes down. You should probably be listening to Apache Beat right now.
