Kimya Dawson played two shows, Europa tonight, win Juno

Kimya Dawson just played two shows in Brooklyn – one in the afternoon with Tiny Masters of Today at Southpaw, and then the next day at Sound Fix. Leia Jospe went to the Sound Fix show – to see it, and hopefully return with some pics, but she didn’t have much luck….
I went to Kimya tonight…and even an hour and a half early the place was filled up to full capacity, with about 100 people waiting outside to get in. Some woman at Sound Fix said that they weren’t letting anyone else in, and it was cold out and after waiting about 30 minutes in the cold to see if anything would change, I kind of gave up. That’s what you get with free shows, huh? Crazy Juno fans!
That sucks, but Kimya’s success makes me happy, and luckily GOPster was there to capture the moment, and Kimya is playing again in Brooklyn tonight.
