Tapes n Tapes are a Minneapolis band, are currently on tour, and are playing a show (at Irving Plaza) in NYC tonight (April 18, 2008) (tix).

Cloud Cult are also a Minneapolis band, are also currently on tour, and are also playing a show in NYC tonight (except at Bowery Ballroom) (tix).

Tapes n Tapes replaced their bassist (Shawn Neary) with a new bassist (Erik Appelwick) back in April of 2006.

Shawn (who also plays trombone) went on to join Cloud Cult in 2007. Cloud Cult is constantly changing their lineup, but Sean still plays with them to this day. I guess my point is just that I hope Tapes n Tapes don’t accidentally stumble across a drunk and ready-to-rumble Cloud Cult (known in Minneapolis for giving severe beatdowns) tonight on the Lower East Side.
