Baby Dee played two shows last week, on February 4th and 5th. The first was a variety night dedicated to her music at Joe’s Pub (a few tweeted reviews above, videos of the show are below). The second was a set at the Stone. Coming up, Baby Dee has another NYC show, this time at Santos Party House on Saturday, April 10th. Tickets are on sale.

As previously mentioned, Baby Dee has a new record coming out March 23rd on Drag City. The album, A Book of Songs for Anne Marie, came out previously in 2004, but this release is a new version produced and arranged by Maxim Moston from Antony and the Johnsons. She has recorded with Andrew W.K. too (who played at the Baby Dee Joe’s Pub show last Thursday, and who’s at Joe’s Pub again with Gonzales this Thursday) – that album currenlty has no name or release date.

Baby Dee has a wide-ranging tour of Europe that starts at the end of February. After that, there’s a monthlong North American tour in April, which the Santos show is a part of.
