David Bazan kicking off intimate 'living room' show tour (dates), playing Radio Happy Hour in NYC Saturday
David Bazan kicks off a month of solo shows, many intimate “living room” gigs, in New York on Friday. That show and the next night’s in Brooklyn are unfortunately sold out, but Bazan will also be appearing on Saturday (5/8) afternoon (2pm) at (Le) Poisson Rouge‘s monthly Radio Happy Hour – a variety show with comedy, scripted drama and music. Joining him will be comedian Max Silvestri and big movie-star Jesse Eisenberg. Tickets are on sale.
Past [Radio Happy Hour] shows have seen Norah Jones as a motel manager; Michael Showalter as the host of his very own cable fitness show; Andrew W.K. as the iconic John Bender character from The Breakfast Club; Tunde Adebimpe as the founder of a wilderness camp for ineffectual men; Kumail Nanjiani as a ventriloquist with a southern dummy; Craig Finn & Tad Kubler as brothers and Chuck Klosterman as their dad on a doomed road trip to a small town called Manhattan, Minnesota.
