After raging the night before at Union Pool, the Trap Them/Black Anvil/All Pigs Must Die destruction caravan made its way to the tiny basement of Cake Shop on 1/15, adding Psychic Limb as an exclamation point to the beatdown.
The early show kicked off with Psychic Limb a shade before 6PM, who played the entirety of their forthcoming LP Queens before turning it over to the positively fantastic crust-core killers All Pigs Must Die. Black Anvil followed the pair, trotting out a good selection of tunes from their latest LP Triumvirate before Trap Them whipped the anxious-and-circling-pit-dwellers into a frenzy, inciting crowd-surfing and gang vocals alike. Trap Them’s incendiary live renditions of songs like “Damage Prose”, “The Facts” and “Every Walk A Quarantine” from the band’s forthcoming Darker Handcraft prove that these songs don’t just kill on LP, but are also highly translatable live too.
