Mi Ami releasing 'Decade', schedule NYC release show (listen to the 11+ minute new single)

Mi Ami, who had previously been making noisy dance punk, are set to release their next album, Decade, on March 20 via 100% Silk. That noisy dance punk is entirely absent on the 11+ minute single, “Time of Love,” which you can download above, or stream below, along with the album art. They’re now opting for a minimal house feel more similar to the new Blondes record than anything with the word “punk” attached to it.

Mi Ami will celebrate the album with a record release show in NYC on April 7 at Glasslands. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

In related news, Mi Ami member Daniel Martin McCormack, formerly of Black Eyes, also records music as Sex Worker and most recently as Ital, the moniker under which he just released the album Hive Mind. Ital is one of the many artists on the recently expanded Unsound lineup, which goes down in NYC from April 18-22.
