Sourpatch released 'Stagger & Fade,' going on tour (dates)

San Jose, CA four-piece Sourpatch aren’t shy about their influences, which are almost exclusively of the ’90s indie variety. They band’s new album for Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records, Stagger & Fade, owes a lot to Velocity Girl, Rocketship, the Lilys and other bands of the era and is equally scrappy, melodic, noisy and endearing. In another tip to the ’90s, the album cover was designed by Tae Won Yu, who did the art for Built to Spill’s Perfect from Now On and Keep it Like a Secret. It’s a great little record and you can stream a few songs from it below.
Sourpatch have just started a North American tour that will find the band at Death By Audio on June 4 where they’ll play with locals Swearin‘. All tour dates are listed at the bottom of this post.
