Kaki King

Guitar great Kaki King is working on a new album with producer D. James Goodwin, which will be out this fall. According to Kaki, “It’s entirely instrumental, full of beautiful guitar songs accompanied by string quartet, bagpipes, low pillowy bass drum thuds, shakers galore, and a library of unique soundscapes that were created in the studio for each piece.” Album title and exact release date TBA.

Kaki King will also be supporting the album with a world tour. That tour hasn’t been announced in full yet, but a few dates are starting to roll out, including a NYC show which happens on November 11 at Glasslands. Tickets for that show go on sale Saturday (8/25) at 7 AM.

Kaki is also part of Gap’s new “Icons Redefined” campaign that also includes The Avett Brothers, Karmin and others. Video of her ad is below, along with a list of all known tour dates.
