Brooklyn’s Shellshag just got home from a US tour this week, and though Hurricane Sandy hasn’t made NYC the easiest place to return home to, hopefully everything is okay for them. We’d like to assume so because Shellshag are treating Brooklyn to two hometown shows, including one this weekend. First, they’ll play XPO 929 on Saturday (11/3) with Moisture and N/A and then later this month they’ll play Death by Audio on November 11 with The Max Levine Ensemble, Marvin Berry & the New Sound, and Trepanning. Both shows appear to be happening as scheduled. Tickets for the XPO 929 show are on sale now. No advance tickets for the Death by Audio show.

Marvin Berry & the New Sound also open for Shellshag’s one-time Don Giovanni labelmates BIg Eyes when their tour with Audacity hits Death by Audio on November 21.

Shellshag’s most recent release is the “Stars n Bars” 7″ that came out over the summer. You can stream the title track off that 7″ below.
