Joseph Arthur working on new album, NYC art exhibition opens tonight, playing Bowery Ballroom in June

Anyone whose gone to see a Joseph Arthur show knows the guy is an artist as well as a musician, as he paints, live on stage, as part of his shows. (Or at least they did, I haven’t seen him play in a while.) Folks in NYC can check out some of his work at Chelsea’s Able Fine Art NY Gallery (511 West 25th St., Suite 507) at an exhibition that opens today (3/26) and runs through April 16, with the opening reception happening Thursday (3/28, 6 – 8 PM).

While working on a new album and keeping a close eye on his van, Joseph Arthur’s next NYC show is June 13 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets to that show go on sale Friday (3/29) at noon. No other tour dates have been announced.
