Guitar swingin’ Norwegians Kvelertak are streaming their great new album, Meir, in its entirety a week ahead of its 3/26 release date. If you liked their 2010 self titled debut — a devilish mix melodic rawk riffage, punk speed, and black metal darkness — you’re bound to like this one too. The riffs are harder and sometimes less “catchy” than the debut (except times like “Tordenbrak”), but the vocals are even stronger. It’s some of the same, some different, and at least as great as the first album. Check it out below (via Stereogum).

The band’s tour with Cancer Bats and Black Tusk hits NYC on May 17 at The Studio at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show are still available.

Black Tusk were initially not billed for that show, but after their tour with Today is the Day (who played one of our Invisible Oranges SXSW shows), KEN Mode (who played two of our IO SXSW shows), and Fight Amp passed through NYC, they were officially added.
