Big Boi cancels shows due to injury (Prospect Park included)

Big Boi

As mentioned, Big Boi was on a tour with Killer Mike this year which already hit NYC and was going to bring Big Boi back for a free Prospect Park show (without Killer Mike) in June. But unfortunately, that Prospect Park show and the rest of the Killer Mike tour have been cancelled due to Big Boi’s knee injury which will take 6 weeks to heal. Killer Mike tweeted that the shows will be moved to September. Big Boi also instagrammed the above picture with the hashtag #backoutcheain6weeks. Updated Big Boi dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, as mentioned, Killer Mike and El-P have a free album on the way under the name Run the Jewels, and that project will also be going on a tour which hits NYC on August 14 at Webster Hall. Support at that show comes from Despot and Kool A.D.. Tickets for it are still available.

This unfortunate news about Big Boi comes just after learning his OutKast partner Andre 3000‘s mother passed away this week.
