Austra‘s very good new album, Olympia, is out this week and the Canadian group played a record release party last night (6/20) in celebration of it. They played a little more than half of the new record, including first single “Home” and “Painful Like,” plus favorites from Feel It Break like “Lose It” and “The Beat and the Pulse” which closed out the main set. They came back for a two song encore, doing “Hurt Me Now” and “Darken Her Horse.” Full setlist below.

Opening the show was fellow Montreal band Mozart’s Sister, the solo project of Think About Life’s Caila Thompson-Hannant who dabbles in electro-tinged R&B pop and has a serious set of pipes.

Austra will be back this fall for the BV-presented show at Webster Hall on September 22 with DIANA. Tickets are still available. More pictures from MHOW below…
