Boston trio Bent Shapes releasing debut LP, playing shows (dates & stream)

After a string of 7″ singles and cassettes over the last four years, Boston trio Bent Shapes are set to release their debut album, Feels Weird, on August 20 via San Francisco label, Father/Daughter. The record is a little sharper than your average indie pop platter, with a welcome bit of angularity, muscle and attitude to compliment the jaunty tunes. Fans of ’90s acts like Papas Fritas and Small Factory: you need to hear this record, and you can stream a couple tracks from the record below.

Bent Shapes will be heading down to NYC next month for a couple shows: August 24 at Cake Shop with Gross Relations, Two Inch Astronaut and Butter the Children, and then August 29 at Silent Barn with Shark? and The Doubts. They’ve got some dates in Boston before that and all are listed below.
