Having left Interscope back in the spring, the gears are clearly starting to move again for TV on the Radio who will now putting out music through guitarist Dave Sitek’s Federal Prism label. They were just out in LA for the FYF Fest and have released a couple digital singles this summer, both of which have come with impressive videos. “Mercy” is probably the most immediate, driving rock song the band have done since the early days of “Wolf Like Me”; and “Million Miles” is more ethereally soulful. TVotR just performed “Mercy” last night on The Late Show with David Letterman last night (9/5) and you can watch that below.

The two tracks’ respective videos are both productions of a MySpace project called Music Video Collaborations With Artists We Like. The funny, thoughtful one for “Million Miles” was co-directed by singer Tunde Adebimpe. They’re both worth watching and you can do so below.

Meanwhile, you may remember that a Tunde Adebimpe side project, Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band (with Ryan Sawyer on drums), opened for Yeah Yeah Yeahs at Union Pool last November. The band will release their debut EP on October first via their own ZNA label. You can listen to a track from that, “The Blast, The Bloom,” below.
