In honor of the 12 universities and 60,000+ college students in Downtown Brooklyn, Northside/L Mag is teaming up with Dwntwn Brklyn to present a free with RSVP show at MetroTech Commons on Thursday (10/3) for those students (and also the general public). The show is being co-headlined by Wu-Tang member GZA and synth pop duo Tanlines, with opening sets from Kitty (Pryde) and Mas Ysa. The show goes from 5-9 PM, and if you’ve never been to MetroTech Commons, here’s directions.

In related news, Kitty Pryde collaborator Hot Sugar released an EP, Made Man, this week which Kitty appears on, along with Antwon, Lakutis, Kool AD, Chippy Nonstop, Heems, Big Baby Gandhi, and more. You can download it (name your price) at bandcamp and stream it below. You can catch Hot Sugar live at Silent Barn on Saturday (10/5) with Logan Takahasi (of Teengirl Fantasy), Title TK, and Ogg Myst; and at 285 Kent on November 21 with Chrome Sparks and Infinity Shred (tickets).
