Castevet @ MDF 2012 (more by Fred Pessaro)
Castevet

As we’ve mentioned a few times in recent weeks, Brooklyn’s reclusive metal alchemists Castevet will playing their Invisible Oranges-cosponsored record release show Friday (10/25) at Union Pool, with Oneirogen and Vorde. You may recall that Andrew Hock of Castevet was recently named one of the 30 best guitarists under 30 by, um, Red Bull. There’s no presale for this show, but tickets are $10 and doors are at 9pm.

Meanwhile, Wormed and 8(!!) other bands play the Paper Box tonight (10/24). (Tix here.). The NYC stop of the IO-sponsored Kylesa/Pinkish Black/Sierra tour will hit Saint Vitus tomorrow night as well (10/25). (Tix here.) The Weed Is Weed/Godstopper/Yoshiko Ohara/Imperial Triumphant show on Saturday (10/26) we mentioned a few weeks back has gotten a big boost in the form of new headliner (and death metal supergroup) Disma, which makes it one of the wildest (in terms of sheer oddness) metal bills in recent memory. No advance tix available, but doors are $10.

And finally, ’90s-era NY metallic hardcore stalwarts Sworn Enemy will hit Saint Vitus Bar on Sunday (10/26) with Dehumanized, Alekhine’s Gun, Leech, and Thorn Constellation . Tix for that show here.

Am I missing anything?
