Yellow Ostrich releasing a new LP, touring (dates & stream)

Yellow Ostrich are set to return with Cosmos, the followup to 2012’s Strange Land, on February 25 via Barsuk. For the new record, main man Alex Schaaf and drummer Michael Tapper have brought in Jared Van Fleet (ex-Voxtrot, Sparrow House) and Zach Rose, and you can get your first taste of the results of that with the first single, “Shades,” which is streaming below. Album artwork below too.

Yellow Ostrich are also heading out on a North American tour which culminates in their hometown of NYC on April 4 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for that show go on sale today (12/13) at noon.
