Modern Baseball release "Rock Bottom" from new LP (listen)

Modern Baseball

As discussed, Philly’s Modern Baseball are releasing their sophomore LP, You’re Gonna Miss It All, on February 11 via Run for Cover (pre-order). You’ve already heard the first single, “Your Graduation,” which showed them graduating (heh) from the endearingly youthful songs of their debut to a slightly more “matured” sound, and that trend continues on the album’s newest single, “Rock Bottom.” It’s as personal as anything on Frightened Rabbit’s The Midnight Organ Fight but with the kick of the more rockin’ moments of Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American, and like those bands, singer Brendan Lukens has the kind of voice that sticks out among the masses of rock bands doing similar things. “Rock Bottom” makes its premiere in this post, and you can stream it below.

Modern Baseball are also heading out on a previously mentioned tour with The Wonder Years, Defeater, Citizen and Real Friends that hits NYC on April 17 at Best Buy Theater. Tickets for that show are still available.
