Tegan & Sara have continued to become significantly more famous in part thanks to their poppy new album Hearthrob, and their trek into the mainstream will continue when they tour with Katy Perry this year. Fortunately, they’re not on her MSG and Barclays Center shows and we’ll get to instead see them in NYC headlining their own show. This one’s not an arena, but it’s still a big one: Hammerstein Ballroom on June 24. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (2/28) at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (2/26) at 10 AM.
It’s part of Tegan & Sara’s headlining tour, dubbed the “Let’s Make Things Physical” tour, and will be opened by My Midnight Heart and Vancouver indie pop trio The Courtneys, whose self-titled 2013 album is worth checking out if you’re into ’80s/’90s Flying Nun-style bands.
