Metronomy

Metronomy just shared the video for “Love Letters,” the title track to their new album. It was directed by Michel Gondry, one of the masters of the form, and it’s the first he’s done in three years. Shot in one take with a set designed for in-camera effects (shades of “Lucas with the Lid Off“), “Love Letters” is simple but still very Gondryan. You can watch it below.

As mentioned, Metronomy will be on tour in North America this spring, including NYC at Webster Hall on May 15. Tickets for all dates on the “Love Letter to America Tour” — including Webster Hall — are available on fan presale here starting today (2/11) at noon EST. (You do need to register.) Tickets for that show go on sale to the general public Friday (2/14) at noon with an AmEx presale beginning Wednesday (2/12) at noon.

If you have a question for Metronomy, frontman Joe Mount will be participating in a Google Hangout hosted by British comedian Adam Buxton on Wednesday (2/12) at noon EST via the band’s YouTube page. “Love Letters” video below…
