People Get Ready release "Rainbow" from new LP (stream it), appearing on WNYC 'Soundcheck' next week

People Get Ready are getting ready to release their new album, Physiques, via Brassland June 24. You may have already heard the album’s title track, and now we’ve got the premiere of the album’s second single “Rainbow.” The song’s arrangement is the star here, capable of going from sparse to the stratosphere at the drop of a hat, and a real showcase for PGR’s instrumental and vocal skills. Stream it below.

As mentioned, People Get Ready have a few live dates this summer, including a free one in NYC on June 19 as part of River to River, a record release show at Rough Trade NYC on June 24 (tickets still available). Before that, the band will appear on WNYC’s Soundcheck on June 9 (9 – 10 PM EDT).
