As mentioned, Belle and Sebastian will release their new album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, on January 20 via Matador. The album’s first single, “The Party Line,” definitely hints that the album’s title may point to the direction of the album, as it’s the grooviest thing they’ve released since “Your Cover’s Blown.” The band just released the single’s video, directed LeBlanc + Cudmore, which details a a night out dancing that gets more surreal as it goes. Check it out below.

You’ll have plenty of time to digest the new album before Belle & Sebastian make it to NYC for their show at Radio City Music Hall on June 10. Tickets are still available. The band have added a lot more dates to their busy schedule, including a few North American shows in March and April. Might they also be playing SXSW too?
