Corrections House played Saint Vitus (watch their whole set), but postpone rest of tour

Heavy supergroup Corrections House have been touring with Statiqbloom for the past few weeks, having stopped in NYC to play Saint Vitus earlier this month. The tour had been scheduled to continue for the next week, but remaining dates have been postponed  due to health issues for Corrections House co-frontman Mike “IX” Williams, also of Eyehategod. Luckily it doesn’t sound terribly serious, as it seems Mike is just burnt out from a year of hard touring with his various projects, and has been prescribed rest and vitamins by his doctor. In an official statement, he writes, “Overwork, nonstop travel, overexertion on stage and poor eating habits will eventually grind you to rubble. I need a bit of time to heal and repair my wounded body and mind.” The use of the word “postponed” from the band seems to imply that they will try to reschedule the cancelled dates at some point down the road. Here’s hoping that happens, and that Mike gets well soon. Meanwhile, Statiqbloom will be playing with Sannhet and Youth Code at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus in January.

In a bit of a consolation prize, you can now watch video of Corrections House’s full set from Saint Vitus earlier this month (via Pit Full of Shit). Check that out below, along with a list of cancelled dates.
