Kelela announces new EP, shares song co-written with Arca, who announced a NYC show

R&B boundary-pusher Kelela is releasing the Hallucinogen EP on May 5 via Fade to Mind ahead of the release of proper debut LP, due some time this fall. First single “A Message” was co-written with Arca, and you can watch its video (dir. Daniel Sannwald) below.

Kelela will also perform at the MoMA Armory Party benefit (3/4) happening this week with DJ Alexis Taylor, DJ Ezra Koenig and more. Updated list of her dates, below.

Arca, who’s also worked with Bjork, Kanye West, and FKA twigs, and is a solo artist on Mute, has announced a hometown show with past visual collaborator Jesse Kanda for April 8 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets go on sale Friday (3/6) at noon.
