Yelawolf touring, prepping second album (dates, video)

Alabama rapper Yelawolf can be a little hit or miss — he totally kills it sometimes, like on his “1 Train” verse, but it often feels like we could without his country rap songs and Kid Rock collaborations. His sophomore album Love Story is due April 21 via Slumerican, Shady Records and Interscope, and we’re hoping it’s more of the hit than the miss. Newest single “Whiskey In A Bottle” certainly has his abilities as an MC on display, as you can hear for yourself below.
Yelawolf’s touring this year too. This week, he hits California’s Musink Festival, which was curated by his collaborator Travis Barker. Yelawolf plays day 3 and the current version of Travis’s band blink-182 plays that day too.
Yelawolf comes to NYC on May 12 at Brooklyn Bowl with support from Hillbilly Casino. Tickets for that show go on sale today (3/17) at 10 AM.
