Iron Chic & Timeshares opening for Gin Blossoms (and playing other dates)

Though the Gin Blossoms now often find themselves on the kinds of ’90s nostalgia tours that we kinda wish stayed in the ’90s (like with Sugar Ray), it’s no secret that like the Goo Goo Dolls, the Gin Blossoms have influenced a handful of quality modern punk and indie rock bands too. Cheap Girls were never shy about their Gin Blossoms influences, and Iron Chic reference the band too. So it’s pretty cool to hear that Iron Chic and fellow Long Island punk band Timeshares (whose killer new record drops this week) are opening for the Gin Blossoms in their hometown on July 10 at The Paramount. Tickets are on sale.

Iron Chic have other dates, including the Long Island stop of Treasure Fleet‘s tour and a tour with Spraynard leading up to NJ’s Skate & Surf festival in May. Timeshares do too, including two other shows in the area. One is an album release in-store at West Babylon, NY’s Looney Tunes on Tuesday (4/28), and the other is the The Movielife‘s NJ festival in June. Other Gin Blossoms dates here.
