Darryl Jenifer and Dr. Know of Bad Brains are going to be in NYC this weekend for hardcore festival Black N’ Blue Bowl, which they’re playing with their band The Regulators which also includes John Joseph of Cro-Mags. Two weekends later, Daryl, Dr. Know and their drummer Earl Hudson will be in New York once again (though a bit further upstate), this time for Woodstock Sessions, a live recording session that’s open to the public. Here’s more:

Woodstock Sessions is honored to announce that Darryl Jenifer, Dr. Know and Earl Hudson of seminal rock/reggae legends Bad Brains will participate in an in-studio recording experience on saturday, May 30, 2015 on the farm at Applehead Recording in Woodstock, New York.

Come join the Bad Brains as they host a day long hardcore song building clinic and recording/performance session.

Eat & hang with the band in the evening and then return to the studio when they will record and perform for you the creation of their upcoming Woodstock Sessions release.

You will be a part of the process as your energy is added to the live recording session.

Attendees will have the rare opportunity to be with these heroes in the studio as they create.

Tickets (which are $248 with fees) are on sale now, and also get you “a limited edition event poster, designed specifically for the event, a t-shirt commemorating the day, 180g virgin vinyl of the album upon its release, specific thanks on the record, and a gourmet Caribbean feast with the band.”
