Courtney Love kicked off her tour with Lana Del Rey last week in Houston at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion (where the above picture was taken). The tour was supposed to continue this past weekend in Dallas, but they had to cancel it after Courtney’s opening set due to weather, which Lana issued an apology about. Fortunately, everything’s been going well since, and the tour will continue on the West Coast this weekend into next.

Courtney’s band for this tour includes guitarist Micko Larkin, drummer Scott Lips, bassist Jennie Vee (who you may have just seen opening for Manic Street Preachers), and pretty excitingly, The Hold Steady’s Tad Kubler on guitar. Courtney’s actually been playing all Hole songs on this tour (as long as we’re counting Nobody’s Daughter as a Hole album), as well as a few covers like Fleetwood Mac, Leonard Cohen, and Big Star. After the run with Courtney ends, LDR continues on the road with Grimes. No NYC dates, but Lana will be here for the Sunday of Governors Ball. We’re giving away tickets to the Saturday, and there’s still a few hours left to enter.
