High on Fire release "The Sunless Years" (listen)

We already heard one song from the new High on Fire album, Luminiferous (due 6/23 via eOne Music), and today they’ve unleashed another monster on us, “The Sunless Years.” It’s pretty much exactly what you want from High on Fire — crushing stoner sludge riffs, Matt Pike’s throat-shedding howls, and a relentless pummel from the band’s rhythm section. As you can imagine, it kicks all kinds of ass. Listen below (via Entertainment Weekly).
HoF’s tour with Pallbearer, Lucifer and Venomous Maximus hits NYC for two BrooklynVegan-presented NYC shows in August: 8/15 at Irving Plaza and 8/18 at MHOW. Tickets for both are still available.
