Jamie xx expands tour, adds another big NYC show at 50 Kent (updated dates and new video ft. Romy & Oliver)

The man behind The xx‘s fantastic production has been making solo art for a few years now, and finally put out his first full length, In Colour, this week via Young Turks. Jamie xx‘s xx bandmates are supportive of his solo career, contributing vocals to multiple tracks on In Colour. And earlier this week, Romy Madley-Croft and Oliver Sim (as well as Warpaint‘s Stella Mozgawa and a live choir) joined Jamie for an all-star performance of “Loud Places” on France’s Le Grand Journal talk show (video below).

Jamie is also touring this year, including a big NYC show at Terminal 5 on August 8 which has since sold out. He’s now added yet another big NYC show happening later that month at 50 Kent on 8/23. It’s part of Verboten’s StageONE at 50 Kent summer concert series. Maya Jane Coles, Andhim, Matador, Nastia and Bedouin are also on that bill. Tickets are on sale now.

Updated dates are listed, with a Spotify stream of In Colour and the “Loud Places” video, below…
