Royal Headache get 'High' on new LP (listen to a song), touring with Sheer Mag including two NYC dates

As mentioned, after a three-year hiatus, Australia’s Royal Headache are back, and scheduled to play LA fest Berserktown II in August. We were hoping that wasn’t going to be a one-off and it’s not — there’s a full tour, much of it with Sheer Mag (that’s an exciting double-bill). The tour includes two NYC shows: August 25 at Rough Trade and August 29 at Palisades. Tickets for Palisades are on sale now, and Rough Trade will be on sale Friday (6/5) at noon. All dates are listed below.

It’s not just a tour, either, as Royal Headache have a new album, titled High, that will be out August 21 via What’s Your Rupture. It picks up right where their 2012 self-titled album left off, with a punky/poppy sound that’s very much in the Undertones/Jam vein, and supercharged with energy. It’s a mix that would have them fitting in as easily on a NYC Popfest bill as a punk show. You can check out High‘s title track below.
