Watkins Family Hour (Nickel Creek, Fiona Apple) expand tour, playing 3 nights at City Winery before Blake Mills show
Watkins Family Hour is the Americana collective featuring Sean & Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek, plus Fiona Apple, Don Heffington, Sebastian Steinberg, Benmont Tench, Greg Leisz and other guests. We already knew they’d be performing Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisted in full during the free Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival on August 8 at Damrosch Park Bandshell, and since then a full tour has been announced.
The tour includes three other NYC shows happening July 28, 29 and 30 at City Winery. Tickets for night 1, night 2 and night 3 are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
In related news, the day after those shows, frequent Fiona Apple collaborator Blake Mills plays City Winery (7/31). That’s an addition to his previously-announced tour which hits MHOW (7/30) a day earlier (tickets). Watkins Family Hour have the day off on 7/31 so it doesn’t seem unlikely that Fiona will appear at Blake’s show. Tickets for City Winery are on sale now.
