Statik Selektah celebrating LP ft. Action Bronson, Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, Talib Kweli & more in NYC with special guests

Veteran hip hop producer Statik Selektah is following last year’s What Goes Around with another solo album, Lucky 7, on Tuesday (7/7) via Showoff/Duck Down. Like its predecessor, it’s insanely stacked with impressive guests. Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Big K.R.I.T., Talib Kweli, Sean Price, Smif N Wessun, Skyzoo, Bodega Bamz, Rapsody, A$AP Twelvyy, Royce Da 5’9″, comedian Hannibal Buress and more show up on this thing. Check out three unsurprisingly-fire singles — “All You Need” (ft. Action Bronson, Ab-Soul, Elle Varner), “Beautiful Life” (ft. Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$) and “Top Tier” (ft. Statik Selektah is celebrating the album in NYC the day before it comes out at Santos Party House (7/6), and he’s promising that guests from the album will show up. Maybe it’s a stretch to assume that say, Ab-Soul or Big K.R.I.T. will be in town, but it doesn’t seem crazy to expect Bronson, Joey, Talib or any of the other locals. Tickets are on sale now.
Talib Kweli is in the midst of a three-night NYC run. He just played Brooklyn Bowl the past two nights, and will be in Commodore Barry Park today (7/3) for the International African Arts Festival.
Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era are doing their big Steez Day show on Tuesday (7/7) at Central Park SummerStage with Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, Phony Ppl, Smoke DZA and more, plus Statik Selektah on DJ duties. After that, Pro Era, Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers head to Highline Ballroom for a late-night show (11:15 PM doors). Central Park is sold out but tickets for Highline are still available.
