Protomartyr share "Dope Cloud" from new LP

Earlier today, we mentioned that Protomartyr would be playing a free NYC show this weekend with Deradoorian and will be on tour this fall with Amanda X. If you’re going this weekend you now have a second song from their new album to hear before the show. “Dope Cloud” is probably the catchiest song Protomartyr have ever made, with an actual sung chorus. It’s also one of their best, a defeatist anthem (“dope” in this case is material wealth) with frontman Joe Casey’s lyrical powers on full display. It’s also the song that gives The Agent Intellect its title. Listen below.
